In the land of Evertale, the stories told by humanity exist, living amongst each other - from Little Red Riding Hood to Beowulf to Sherlock Holmes to Doraemon, they all live here in harmony, sharing stories. And new stories are born all the time! Stories you read, stories you watch, even stories you create with your friends, they all find a place in Evertale.

It's a lovely place. The source, and home, of human creativity. Or.... it should be.

The forces of creativity, the stories, the people, they're all being erased! Pretty soon, we won't have anything left in Evertale!

That's where you come in! We need the legendary warriors of creativity, Precure, to come and--

So what is this?

It's me having too many ideas and too much time on my hands.

This is an upcoming tabletop roleplaying game, set in an original Precure series and using the Valor Roleplaying System. Games will be run in Roll20 using the chat window and overlay - no voice.

Experience in Valor definitely not required, though at least some knowledge in Precure would be good.

The themes of Colorful Chronicle are human creativity, stories, and the commodification of creativity through soulless tools.

Characters, ideally, would have one outlet for creativity they partake in, whether it's art, writing, making comics, tabletop, music - something creative to inspire their character and powers.

3. Character concept(s)? A shy girl who makes costumes and is insecure about people liking the "real her" - I'd do a mimic core and flavor attacks by doing a magical creation thing and making a theme color replica prop or costume piece like a paper-mache looking dragon head.
4. Anything you want to see in game? I want to do one of those stories where there's a cool ship and then a deserted island the main characters play house on. I was a big fan of Swiss Family Robinson as a child.

I want to do a companion build, which could go a few different directions. A musician who has anthropomorphized her instrument as her precious partner, a girl who makes stuffed animals or amigurumi, a girl who builds models or kitbashes, a creepy doll girl...

5. What's you favorite story? Hard to pick but The Neverending Story (the book) is up there.

I hereby solemnly swear to watch a season of Precure BEFORE I play in this game as opposed to RWBY and Trails that I got into AFTER starting.

3. Character concept(s)? A singer or a musician of some kind...maybe both, or a singer and a dancer. Someone musical. A girl whose perfectionism and the high expectations of adults are at war with her genuine passion and love of expressing herself and has to navigate the burnout minefield that is being a talented middle schooler (that's the demographic, right?) Choirgirl to punk rock arc? I'm spitballing here but I think that has legs.
4. Anything you want to see in game? I want to see some art that sucks. Some notes that don't land, some performances flubbed, some stories that don't make sense. Willingness to create the imperfect is a part of creativity, and insistence on perfection is its poison. Also I want to kick a plagiarizing capitalist in the teeth but that's why I'm signing up, it's already in the premise.
5. What's you favorite story? I like stories about a simple person with a good heart overcoming great adversity to achieve a benefit for themselves and those around them. There's a lot of those for a reason.
